Intro
There’s a lot of buzz surrounding this independent casino. People are liking the fact that they make their own, top quality games and have grown a large following in recent years. They’re owned by Intouch Games who run three other separate casino brands. Impressively, none of these websites duplicate content, even if the site layouts might have a familiar feel.
So, we thought we’d delve into mFortune to see what all the fuss was about – and whether the experience they are selling is all it’s cracked up to be. Read on to find out how we rate their free bonuses, games, banking, security and more.
mFortune Welcome Bonuses
We signed up using the mFortune app, but it is possible to use their website to do it. First impressions were a bit overwhelming as we tried to make sense of all the variety of buttons on-screen, but we quickly got to understanding what exactly we were looking at and where stuff was.
The app brings the slots to the fore and it took a little more digging to find the other games, but don’t worry they’re there!
We got given a £5 welcome bonus for signing up. It’s pretty unusual to have a bonus not locked to a specific game, so it was nice to get a varied experience while not yet spending our own cash.
You can also get your first deposit matched 100% which is pretty awesome. We put in £20 (we thought we wanted to give mFortune a real good go) and played with £40. The maximum match is £100 if you’re really feeling like mFortune is to your taste.
I’d definitely recommend having a look at the T&Cs before you commit fully to anything big. All bonuses (welcome or otherwise) are subject to a 1x wagering requirement before any winnings are cashable. Oh, and if your winnings are from a free bonus, then the maximum withdrawal you can claim is £200, so let’s not get too carried away. Of course, we strongly advise that you make sure you can definitely afford any deposit you make. It is a casino after all, and there’s no guarantee you’ll be getting your wagered money back.
Other Casino Bonuses
Not wanting to stop there, mFortune have more bonuses they’ll throw your way once you’ve stuck around for a little bit. Let’s have a look at the highlights!
- Free spins, bonus credit, and deposit matches sent out weekly by text
- £5 free for every friend referred plus a bonus equivalent to 50% of their first deposit
- Game of the Month bonuses on all new slots games
- Seasonal promotions around Halloween, Christmas, etc. such as prize draws
- Loyalty points and prize draws exclusive to mFortune Bingo
- Chances to win bonuses in competitions on the mFortune Facebook page
mFortune Casino Games
We really can’t fault the design work and playing experience for mFortune’s expansive roster of slot games. They’re all super pretty, carry their own distinct theme, mix old favourites with clever new twists, and sport a big selection of mini-games, unique bonus features and massive progressive jackpots. It’s a reel smorgasbord!
The Krispy Kash slot game tasted particularly sweet with its donut-themed design and smooth, uninterrupted style of game play. Unlike many of the other slots on the site, Krispy Kash doesn’t have a separate mini-game screen where you might spin a wheel, or pick a multiplier. Instead it has this awesome, accumulative multiplier feature that kicks in every time you win any amount.
Effectively, if you win multiple times in a row, your multiplier keeps going up until you don’t win. Win five or six times on the bounce and no matter the size of that final win, it’s gonna be multiplied to something much larger. Oh, and once the “jammy wins” bar kicks in, all subsequent spins are free “re-spins” until you don’t win, meaning more bonuses for you! Maybe we were just hungry at the time of playing but we definitely recommend.
mFortune also has bingo, which is lively and well populated – always important for a bingo game to have that social aspect! – and other casino games (Texas Hold’em poker, roulette and blackjack). The one annoyance here is that you couldn’t access the casino games in-app. You can play them on the website, or you can download the dedicated app for each one, but we thought this was an unnecessary faff and a surprising feature for an otherwise polished casino.
mFortune Banking System
So what’s the banking like when you want to withdraw your winnings? Do they have withdrawal limits? Let’s answer all your questions.
You may deposit £5 or more using your debit/credit card, paysafecard, Skrill or PayPal. Alternatively you can deposit £3 or more via your phone bill. Phone bill deposits are capped at £30 and you’ll have to prove that you have paid this bill before you can withdraw your winnings.
On the subject of withdrawals, you can withdraw using your bank account, or if you want to use your card or PayPal then you’ll have to have used those methods to deposit money previously. Withdrawing anything under £10 will draw a £3 fee, so don’t bother withdrawing anything £3 or less.
Speed was a little bit of a bugbear with mFortune. They take 3-4 working days just to contact you for your I.D. This is to be expected but there’ll be a further couple of days wait time before your winnings appear in your bank account. Be patient and they’ll get there though.
mFortune Security and Safety
When there seems to be a news story about a hack to a big company almost every day, it’s always important that security is at its tightest. Especially where money is concerned.
You’ll be relieved to know that mFortune Casino 256-bit TLSv1.2 digital encryption to protect your data and transactions. They also never share your data with third parties.
They are also certified for fairness by the UKCG so you can be sure there’s no funny business going on. They also clearly display the RTPs of every game in their descriptions.
mFortune is GamCare certified, meaning they have demonstrated a commitment to responsible gambling. They also have a number of tools to help with gambling addiction, such as deposit/session limits, cool-down periods, and self-exclusion. They’re also registered with GAMSTOP, a tool we highly recommend to anyone who is having difficulty with gaming issues.
mFortune Customer Service
We gave mFortune’s customer service a ring on more than one occasion and they always seemed cheerful and happy to help with any issues. They’re a UK-based team available 24/7, including all weekends and bank holidays.
You can tap ‘support’ in app to contact them or use these details: call +44(0)1384 880 842, text HELP to 85777 for a call-back, email [email protected], or message them on live chat via the website.
Conclusions
We think that mFortune is a very strong mobile casino, with great original games, a good variety of content, and plenty going on in terms of customer engagement and bonuses. While some stuff could do with sprucing up a bit, and withdrawals could be sped up, we would definitely say mFortune are worth a try!
